I realize there are a lot of posts here, and I was, for me, extremely posty yesterday, so perhaps you missed this regarding the use of young men in the military: but in that case, they are well trained, intensively supervised, and taught responsibility- I am not going to get into why nations send their young people to fight their wars. why do you fear your fellow citizens? Nothing to do with "fearing" anyone. And of course they were articulate and rational on tv. My son went to Rice where the majority of engineering students were extremely articulate and rational. Merit Scholars who scored 1600 on their SATs and were the brightest in their classes. They also were pretty normal 17-22 years- with the attendant emotional upheavals that come from an intense academically demanding schedule and the freedom of being away from home. This is not fearing them as much as being cognizant that this is a different demographic than the normal population.
