Yep. We've been painted as cowboys and yahoos forever. And that overshadows all the things that have changed. And now we have Smirk added to the burden of things to live down.

It is depressing.

Makes me want to go barbecue some ribs and brisket.

That you think that of Texans IS what makes them cringe.. Most Texans want Texas to be a playa on the national and world stage. But, they've got Kennedy, LBJ and now Bush to live down..

A lot of Texans made Bush governor twice and voted twice more when he rain for president. I believe that you and CJ are the exception, not the rule.
