<<No gun control law will change that because no jury will convict an innocent gun owner solely for the crime of owning a gun.>>

Last year a suburban home in the Chicago area was broken into, robbed, plus a vehicle was stolen. Owner bought a 9mm. Crook came back a few days later while the family was getting ready for bed and got himself shot to death. The police wanted to arrest the father because it's against the law to have a handgun in that suburb. Public out cry was so strong that they dropped the charges but kept the gun.

The question is what do the innocents who are potential victims of these criminals and psychopaths to do?

Each side in this debate is trying to be the one that decides what the question is. Each side wants to be the one that frames the question -- and they are talking past each other.

You may think you rambled, but I enjoyed reading it, and we wind up in the same place for the general population.

I have no problem with anyone who can demonstrate proficiency and good sense owning a handgun.
