The US people support israel depending on what CNN is showing. We have had a strong majority for supporting Israel ever since it's founding. It's amazing how much influence Leon Uris's book and movie, "Exodus" had on our attitude. Plus, we like a winner. That attitude basically changed for the International left after the '67 war. The "those gutty little Jews" became "those oppressors of the Arab victims" among the Intelligentsia. I think Canada leans more to the European view. It's funny my attitude has stayed with them. My personal experience with Israeli immigrants in LA was that they were overbearing SOB's. I guess it goes with growing up there.
