The Liberals are pretty close to the democrats, except our PM has more power than your president because it is his party in power. Also Elections are called by the ruling party in 5 years or when they think they can win. The last long term liberal Government was about as crooked as they come. Chretien really liked bill clinton, and hated George Bush. All of them paid lip service to Kyoto, but made no moves to implement it. And they are all toadies of Power Corp.
