It's is a loony idea. I don't think anyone is taking him seriously...well, maybe a few are...we know the type.

Although I don't believe for a minute posting a sign that says "gun free zone" will stop criminals - I have a problem with making guns ubiquitous on any campus. It's the last place on earth you want people worrying about their safety. As a step in the safety direction - I'd suggest that teachers with the correct training and qualifications could be allowed to carry like pilots can today. Not required, not mandated but entirely voluntary and only in a concealed fashion with mandated training. Most schools can't afford paid guards but could perhaps afford some training courses.

They're all saying it....not just Tom Delay. Gingrich, Rove, Harris, shortie, Eric........some time between last Monday and today, the NRA came up with that talking point and got it around to all its disciples.
