Right. And civilian weapons and military ones haven't diverged in that time.

No. The invasion happened. Most of our deaths are caused by IEDs, not gunfire. And those that are killed by gunfire, it is usually with a military weapon.

We invaded a country and defeated its standing army.......remnants of that army as well as sympathizers are fighting us....they're called insurgents. I don't see how either applies to present day America........unless you are planning a revolution.
