The best players are generally degenerate gamblers, because they get more practice playing than normal people, who sleep and make love and eat and go to a show now and then. You can spot them easily. They are the ones who make side bets on the poker and proposition bets on anything, and when the poker tournament or table breaks up, they head for the blackjack or craps tables. Mike Matasow was borrowing money from Ted Forrest to enter a $10,000 tournament within three months of having won $2 million at The Tournament of Champions. I know there are taxes and expenses, but blowing $2 million in 3 months? Crazy.

Now me, I have my gambling under control. I just play poker. Well, and the ponies. And a bit of blackjack. And the State Lottery, just to help the school kids. And the stock and options markets. Uh, oh! <G>
