"the lefties wanted Zero Tolerance to fail, so they administered it inflexibly and without common sense. "

It may not be true of all of them, but I would suspect that it is true of some of them.

"Gun Free Zones" and "Zero Tolerance" rules are failures.

Absolutely, lets go back to anarchy. It works. We can have as much security as we can buy. <g>

When it comes to libs, there is never any rhyme nor reason why they do anything. The more outrageous the cause, the more they embrace it.

This line originates in Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors, 1590:

DROMIO OF SYRACUSE:
Was there ever any man thus beaten out of season,
When in the why and the wherefore is neither rhyme nor reason?

The bard must have liked the line as he used it again in As You Like It, 1600:

ROSALIND: But are you so much in love as your rhymes speak?
ORLANDO: Neither rhyme nor reason can express how much.
