Come on, what gives you the right to speak for the motivations of all the members of Congress? Close observation. Not all of them - not some of the Republicans, not Joe Lieberman. But most of the leading Dems. And they knew that unless Saddam left voluntarily, there would be war. Everybody did. I can authorize a doctor to do surgery, and if he does a bad job and kills the patient, I made a bad decision, but the ultimate responsibility for killing the patient is his Implementation was his job; but authorization was yours, and you knew that surgery would follow your authorization. If you begin wailing that you never read the consent forms, you won't persuade anybody that it was an illegal procedure.
