Are you looking at the May MNTA? I see only 10 to 17.5 as strikes. Maybe you are looking at the Junes??

One speculative idea for a near-term news event (suggested to me by rkrw) is that Teva or Amphostar has received news (or hints) from the FDA on their applications. A very interesting legal question is whether it would be permissible for anyone from those companies to trade MNTA based on such news.

Yesterday's volatility surface shows the iv's of the puts and calls closer together than previously. Note that ivolatility's implied vol index is smoothed and doesn't always show the difference between the call IV and the put IV at particular strikes and maturities.
