Technicaly, the HUI could certainly breakout but it could also easily retest the lower trend line of the 2006-2007 correction which would mean a 15-18% correction.

The HUI is already down 6.2% from its high last week, we are well in a downtrend. But it could go either way. So flip a coin.

I don't buy Olaf whoeverheis' thesis. HUI is heading for 280 again and there's another bounce in the US$. I'm exhausted hitting bids all morning. Made too much this year to give it away ;-) I'll be back :-)
