I agree. I don't think AIPAC is the "total" mover and shaker but part of the group, but a very powerful part of the group.

By widening the scope, you have become more fair. Truth be told most jews werent for the war in iraq and that includes most pro-israeli jews. I think AIPAC drank the KoolAid of this admin/neocons as did i for other reasons than israel. When i supported the war in the beginning it had little to do with helping israel. Remember i had just had the WTC fall on my head and i wanted to get those scumbags. Israel never entered my mind and with 20/20 hindsight this war has done nothing to improve israels position one bit. Sure if iraq had flourishded as a western democracy and somehow became less arab and less muslim and embraced israel, sure that would have been good for israel. I thought the former possible at some point in my thinking but never the latter.
