On the sideline of Texas Instruments (TI) saying inventory correction in the channels was completed in the first quarter of 2007, Taiwan semiconductor equipment makers were cited in a Chinese-language Commercial Times report as saying that a ramp up in orders is coming.

Sources at the equipment makers indicated that TI has informed its foundry partners in Taiwan that it would ramp up its orders in the second quarter with 65nm orders to begin in April, the paper said.
