Look at Yamana (YRI.to), they're getting paid to catch the metals as they fly out of the ground and they don't pay any dividend. I know anything about them, maybe they're servicing debt, maybe they think they can get making the stock quadruple every 2-3 years by reinvesting the profits themselves. I think any profitable company should prove to one and all that they're for real by paying a respectable dividend.
