Which, as Raimondo says, is one of the reasons why US-Russia relations are at a low since the fall of the USSR. I have to say I like Putin -- not as a friend but because he's doing a good job for Russia and the Russians. I watch Russian TV every day (in English, by satellite) and it will be clear to any observer that Russia is going from strength to strength in every way -- which is more than one can say about the US.
