Is there an issue about corruption with bribes? Sure. A smaller issue. The not being dead thing is the big issue.

No, Ik. The big issue is how to make decisions with incomplete and/or dubious information about events in the future, where you can't apply 20/20 hindsight but you need to make a decision NOW.
