No they aren't, or else they'd be drilling in ANWR and off the Gulf Coast right about now.


Energy independence is not drilling hoping you'll find more oil. That's simply prolonging the dependence on oil.....a diminishing commodity. Energy independence is finding new/alternative sources of energy.

Ten, drilling for more oil is a short term solution to a long term problem. Drilling for more oil may buy us a little time, but that's it. Why do you think that will solve our long term problems related to oil?
