I think that at first, they'll make just the one die, like they did way back with the whole pre-Newcastle thing. Doesn't make sense to try to ramp up 2 at once, initially, IMO.

I think there is going to be, roughly, 1Q lag between server and desktop. Server will be launched on QC exclusively (and most likely stay that way). So, initially, AMD will be ramping just one die.

Desktop launch will likely follow a quarter later, and there will likely be non-L3 die at that point (2nd die). All of it is just a speculation, but I think my scenario is more likely than single die at the time of desktop launch.

In case you are right, and AMD launches with single die, in that scenario initial desktop launch will be limited to higher end, 2 models:
- QC with L3
- DC with L3 (from QC die)
AMD would not be launching non-L3 DC parts from QC+L3 die.
