The Israelis had maps in the early stages of the negotiations. But as Ross and Ben Ami are at considerable pains to explain, showing maps to Arafat proved counter-productive. He would never concede ANYTHING except verbally. Show him a map, and he only made NEW demands.

Clinton and Barak said the same. Agha and Malley never contradicted this point.

Dennis Ross is not "people" - he was the chief American negotiator on the scene who was responsible for translating Clinton's proposals into maps. Go read his book.
