1947 is settled history and any deal to be made now will use pre-67 war as the basis for settlement. Supporting Israel is in the national interest of the United States. They were our staunch ally against the soviets--remember them? They are a democracy in a sea of tyranny. They are the best hope for the development of the region, once the conflct is put in the rear view mirror. You keep pounding away with your stupid quote to try to gain converts to your crusade by trying to blame israel for the rise of islamo fascism--a movement which you must think is justified vis a vis both israel and the US. Well i choose to fight alongside my friends and folks who have similar social and political values. What do you think Chris, Bin Laden's gang will somehow spare you for your ongoing support of terrorism and the Pals?

It will not be Bantustan in the end. IMO, the USA could help matters by explicitly stating that we find Bantustan unacceptable. Let the world know that. I think Israel is largely past that as well, but their policies with continue settlement construction make it look otherwise. Where I part company with many is that I find continued Jewish settlement construction on the West Bank equivalent to Pal terrorism. I also think the US should make that clear to the world. Jewish land stealing = Pal terrorism. Don't equivocate on that point. Land stealing deserves a death sentence. If we have the courage to make that clear, we will get more flexibility in the ME.
