The "golden goose" has world wide consequences both positive and negative. So does the "yellow goose". As does the "EU goose". Don't forget the "curry goose". Like it or not the world has socialistic systems that work side by side with capitalistic systems. Nothing to be afraid of there.
There is a greater danger that the "golden goose" is being negatively impacted by the neocons and Bush II through the waste of resources that goes on today in Iraq and the US. More important is the "golden gooses" thinking on drugs, the Taliban, and Afghanistan. Instead of using capitalism to destroy the Taliban by buying the Afghani farmers' crops at a fair price for our own medicinal industry the "golden goose" tries to burn it, introduce crops which don't pay as well and are harder to cultivate, or kill those that buy it. That is neither capitalism nor socialism at work, just stupidity.
