First the arguments are valid. You really think there is a "vast left-wing conspiracy" headed by moveon.org? That's why the middle in running away from the Republican party in droves?

Increasing the CAFE standards by 15% per year over the next 10 years would equal the output of 20 ANWR's. I'll give you ANWR if you give me CAFE.

ANWR isn't a short or long term answer to anything except some sort of moral victory for the anti-environment party.
