Well, I agree. Those are, indeed, desirable traits you're referring to. However, one only gets to feed the throngs through the distribution of only a couple of fishes in the scriptures.

It may seem unreasonable or extravagant to lay down a lattice of fiber in order to support my idea, but fiber creep has been at work all along in getting at least a part of that job done, already.

The burden is somewhat mitigated, if you think about it, since fiber to the access point is not as arduous and costly an affair as bringing it directly into residential living rooms. But who am I trying to kid here? Certainly not you ;)

The ideal solution would actually call for both.
