If there is no blame, then there is no responsibility, and therefore no accountability. And the next crop of politicians will assume they can screw the American public and retire to the lucrative book and speaking tour. If you disagree, why not just close the courts and open the prisons? If there is no responsibility for action, why not just go back to the days when leaders could do whatever they damn well pleased and not worry about the consequences? The only real question remaining about the Bush administration is: which of the leaders were merely incompetent, and which were criminally negligent?
