to believe sheryl crow was joking about efforts to curb 'global warming' would be likened to believing any entertainer would have been joking about curing aids 20 years ago... 'global warming' is the new holy grail for celebs desperately seeking validation

So what? Isn't he entitled to his opinion. Of course he's entitled his opinion. But "she MEANT it" is not an expression of opinion but one of fact. Had he stated it as opinion, I would not have reacted to it. And BTW the fact that she is a goofy hollywood type is another good reason to assume she was serious when she posts goofy hollywood type ravings. It's an indicator, sure. I agree that there are some indicators to support the "serious" conclusion. But it is not conclusive. That's prejudice, not analysis.
