I agree 100%. But, the current two party system, and the process of vetting through cleaning out dark closets, tosses many higher quality candidates out. One excellent example is Dianne Feinstein. Smart, capable, experienced, and moderate, she apparently eliminated herself, possibly because of skeletons in her husbands closet. When we feel the need to elect 'action heros' like Arnold and Jesse to leadership positions, there's got to be something wrong with the system. It's become way too much of a beauty contest.
