michael97123, go soak your head in a bucket of ice. You read things into posts that do not exist.

I have not always made anyone's case. It's a case of two groups fighting over land. That is THEIR fight not mine. The rest of your post illustrates why your arguments never hit home.

not to support democracies anywhere as a matter of policy

So your argument is, if the USA does not support Israel then it does not support democracy. What a disgusting argument. You and Nadine make Israel look worse and worse every time you say such claptrap.

allow a strategic part of the globe to fall to enemy control (al quaeda)

More ridiculous nonsense. AQ is what it is because of the problems in the ME often supported by the US corporate interests for the sake of oil profits and power. AQ is a police problem, not a military one. The ME is only strategic because of oil. Without dependence on that oil, the ME is no longer strategic.

The most important thing is for the US to get rid of its dependence on ME oil and then the ME can solve its problems in whatever way it can manage.

Your arguments make your side look like a bunch of liars looking to use either 'anti-semite' or 'aq is coming' or other such crappola to make your point. It is becoming increasingly obvious that you do this because you cannot find any legitimate arguments to bolster your claim that the US is somehow tied at the hip to Israel.

Ask Americans if they are willing to fight and die for Israel. You will not find many takers.
