Tim, the damn violent crime rate starting going up in 2005, two years ago, not six months ago.

I said a six month period, not six months ago. The data you used was - "Murders surged in cities across Florida in the first half of the year...The city's murder rate more than tripled from January through June, compared with the first six months of 2005."

As for your hypothesis that a 1988 concealed weapon law led to reduced crime in FLA during the 1990s might hold water except that the rest of the country experienced the same decline.

Not the same decline. The states that implemented liberal concealed carry laws had a greater decrease in crime.
