Rising fuel costs have a detrimental effect on virtually everything. The trucking and rail industries move practically everything all of us need everyday. They'll pass those higher costs on down the chain and the chain stops at our checkbook.

We must move faster to alternative fuels and/or drill for more oil in all those places congress disallows. Somehow, we have to get away from dependence on foreign supplies and build more refineries.
