Bush would have been better served in firing Generals. The next ones would have been the same. Peas out of the same pod. Been that way since organized military was first put together. The Scipio's, Caesars and Napoleon's are few and far between. Look at how many Generals Lincoln went through. The best people start getting weeded out at the Captain level. The reason we get these mild-mannered chaps is that my the time they hit Lt Colonel, they have learned they have to do what their JAG's tell them. We have a military now that does what they are allowed to do by the NGO's that complain about them.
