The key to the farms is how you operate them. I think they should put flow props in them to keep the water currents moving thru the areas.. and shut them down when the native species come by seasonally so as not to propagate pests that may afflict the smolts. This system has been proven effective but needs encouragement. I will keep the pinks healthy. As far as fish ladders go, they might work if they incorporated my patented method of path inducement. What I do is park some grizz on chains in front of migrating fiddies, and their splashing encourages the school to go stage left to the down stream ladders. EC<:-}
