You think that 'sex scandals' are a sign of mature/maturing politics? (I'm having difficulty getting my mind around that concept. To my way of thinking, being obsessed with such stuff is a clear sign of immaturity, not maturity, or perhaps of the dead hand of a Puritanical worldview, a historical weight coming down through time, still expressed in current politics....)
