Our drug laws are a blight. Too bad we can't modify them. But the public pressure doesn't allow our Pols any room on this issue.

There are two sides of oxycontin-------one is its use as a medicine and the other is its use as an addictive drug that drug pushers push and to which people become addicted.

When we start differentiating between medicine and addictive drugs think we will have made progress.
