The US owns the UN. And even when the US can't convince the UN to do it's bidding, the US just does what they want anyway. The UN is a joke because it's not a democratic institution. It does serve the purpose of providing a platform for all to speak from. But decisions "made" in the UN are basically decisions that toe the US line. Anything the US doesn't like gets vetoed as we all know. Gives pea brains like bongnsnort something to gripe about cause tax money goes to support the UN and welfare mothers. Course when tax money goes to Haliburton...or is unaccounted for at the Pentagon, that's good.

World Bank? Another arm of the hegemony where poor countries are harnessed to provide perpetual interest payments for funds that usually promote the interests of corporations at the expense of the poor people of the world. Saddle the people with the debt for a new hydroelectric dam, while the corporations reap the profits off the power generated and the cheap labor.

It's the United Corporations of America that run the world and they always make sure that playing field is slanted in their favor...of course.
