The NRA supports "insane citizens" with guns, just uses the word "law-abiding" meaning without a criminal record. The problem with that is that most murders with store bought guns are committed by insane people like Cho and Spector, not criminals. Criminals don't use gun shops. An insane lady shot my father too. And by insane I don't mean drooling and obvious, I mean with a record of having been deemed mentally unstable. Also, the NRA has a racist standard. Everyone knows it's far easier for a black male to have a criminal record than a white. Blacks can get arrested just for walking down the street. While most whites can get off unless they do something seriously criminal.
