When Tenet was anointed CIA Director he reached a new plateau in gubberment circles. He transcended civil servant status and progressed to the political animal mode. Seems to me his hands were tied. Tell GWB the truth about CIA world knowledge and rat out Billy Jeff's inattention to details or string the truth out until it benefited him. One has to wonder how much influence the Klinton political machine had in his decisions. Of course, after you have been canned, you just have to write a salty book painting your mistreatment in a self-serving light. Now, this is HOW many books being written by former Klinton goons? And how many former Klinton officials spilling their guts on 60 minutias? I truly believe that absolutely no magnitude of talking, negotiations etc. will result in any degree of deterring the Islamo Facists from straying from their stated goals. Jak
