BTW i have been reading some of Unclewests posts that were pointed out to me by Ed. They are very revealing and seem to be opposed to your current view which was his original one. Care to elucidate or are you in the process of actually changing an opinion on this war? Sarcasm aside, for 2008 election, i think a new position needs to be articulated by the right on this war and it doesnt automatically have to have stay the course as its centerpiece. I have believed for awhile that american departure will lead to more violence initially but i think things can be sorted out and i dont see it as an automatic victory at all for al quaeda in iraq. There is some common interest for stability in the region AFTER the US departs. That includes iran. I think the biden plan works--a loose confederation of three regions with oil revenue sharing to accomodate the sunnis. I think at that point the sunnis will take care of the FOREIGN terrorists and former baathists will be reintegrated into the political system.
