OT: The latest on corn (see today's prices) is that various kinds of weather have delayed planting and some farmers may switch to soybeans, which mature in less time, it seems. I think I picked that up from Bloomberg.

Merrill Lynch, for reasons I don't yet unerstand, considers DBA too risky for its clients to buy. Merrill seems to consider it in the same class as trading futures. I guess you could leverage DBA by borrowing to buy it, but although the fund itself uses futures, it's supposed to do so in a way that tracks the actual cash prices.
