And, I doubt the NRA will be very supportive of Rudy.

I don't see how they in any way could support him. If they do, they reveal the organization as a sham. I dropped my registration several years ago when the NRA endorsed some real whack jobs in the PNW at the expense of the democratic candidates. The democratic candidates where more pro-gun that the people that the NRA endorsed.
