Why, are you for stealing natural resources from Third World peoples because they can't defend themselves? Venezuelan oil isn't a natural resource if we don't buy it from them. It's just a pool of useless gloop way down in the ground. If they don't want to sell it to non-Venezuelans under terms acceptable to the non-Venezuelans, they can choose not to do so, not to have any money from the non-Venezuelans, and the gloop will stay in the ground. I wish someone would come to my house, look around my yard, declare that there is some junk that I have no use for and no knowledge of buried somewhere a mile underground, and they would extract the junk, and give me a few million dollars a day in exchange for doing nothing. I wouldn't consider that them stealing, I would consider myself a lucky duck and be happy that the someone paid me for something which was of no value to me rather than killing me and taking it for free. What would Christ say about both these modern and ancient Vikings? The Vikings didn't sign revenue sharing concessions with the governments of the countries they invaded, locate the valuables, extract the valuables and then leave half the profit for the locals who didn't even know the valuables were there. Christ would say the oil companies are doing unto the the foreign governments as they would have the foreign governments do unto them. And Christ would tell Mr. Chavez thou shalt not lie (sign a contract and then break it) and thou shalt not steal (concessions which foreign oil companies bought from you).
