The sad part about this kind of trading is that literally, you can get away with using "I just thought that it was a good time to load up on options because DJ was so undervalued" as a defense and get away with it. I've seen it happen first-hand when Fruit of the Loom bought some company that I can't remember the name of some 16 years ago.
