Mr Brooks is superintendent in the Little Rock school district. Ms Mitchell is head of the board. As I understand it, Mr Brooks has implemented merit teacher pay raises and also the student test scores are rising since he took over. Rumor has it, the union don't like the merit pay thingy since it throws tenure out the window. Ms Mitchell wants to fire Mr Brooks. Mr Brooks has many parents on his side since the grades are rising. I expected you would support Ms Mitchell based upon your view of tenure and teacher unions. The saga continues... arkansasmatters.com What is the benefit of tenure ted?
