i have market-beating results and no skill.

Don't sell yourself short.

Much of what we skillfully do operates at an intuitive, almost unconscious level.

The more we study and the more we experience, the larger our fund of knowledge becomes. While we often forget the specifics of what we have learned [I certainly do], it is my thesis that we retain the broad lessons, and apply them.

What you call luck are probably skills you've acquired but which you don't recognize.

Ever wonder why most great investors are geezers? I think it is because their age and experience has given them a larger fund of knowledge on which to draw. Or as they say in Mexico, the devil is not the devil because he's the devil but because he is old.
