The persistent Yen weakness even against the USD baffles me. There, it didn't manage to keep 120 and of course the EURJPY carry trade goes on and on and on.

and on and on just like the GD energizer bunny! if this thing ever breaks loose it is going to be chaos. what will it take? i can't believe i haven't participated more in this rally...i'm in total dismay.

on a different note i realized the other day that if you wanted to hedge your currency pair; say on the AUDJPY, you could get two more opposing pairs, for instance, the EURJPY and EURAUD to counter the interest rates and direction. one might do this if they didn't want to exit a losing position. or didn't see follow through on a perceived breakdown/out and wanted to play the channels.

a speculator could work out this type of triangulation on many different currency pairs.
