I agree...but there is no military "solution", solution being the operative word... which is what Petraus recognizes and which he has publicly stated. If the politicians won't step up, no government will exist....at least no government we would recognize as a government. The military can provide only security...not a solution to the problem. If the people of Iraq won't accept their government....that is no solution.

(Did you ever think that maybe the 'factions' WANT to fight each other?) The Sunnis vs. Shia, the Persians vs. Arabs, Kurds vs. Turkomen, and poor vs the oil rich....
