I'm not introducing a strawman. I'm not saying "Ted says that we shouldn't buy body armor for the troops" and then demolishing that assertion. I'm making an analogy. The missiles are defenses. You ARE arguing against providing defense, and implying or stating that isn't putting up a strawman.

But Humvees and body armor are not analogous to missiles....in fact, they have little to do with missiles. Thus they are introduced to confuse the issue. That kind of interjection is called a strawman.

"This country has enough missiles" by itself isn't much of an argument. Enough to do what? We don't have enough to defend against nuclear attack. Your statement treats missiles as if they where all the same, when in fact they do very different things. Having enough of, or even a strong surplus of one type, doesn't mean you have enough of another.

We have enough missiles period.
