The private buyouts in my opinion are based on a strategy of using today's dollars to buy assets and pay it back with future worthless dollars. This tells me the P/E of the stock markets needs to get at least cut in half. Go back to the highly inflationary period of the late 70,s and early 80,s and check out market P/E's.

<<<The big boys would not be paying billions to take public companies private if they were overvalued

do the big boys care or is it just fees and bonuses to drum up ?
