I think I'm fairly conservative but there are some things I'd do different. Abortion would remain legal - horrible method of Birth control - I'd discourage it but in the end its between the person and their maker. We'd never go to war unless we intended to win. We're not fighting to win - either bring them all home tomorrow (not october - so stupid) or fight to win - period. We haven't won a war since WWII and its because we want this sanitized version of "surgical strikes" and its just not working. War is ugly - if you aren't willing to get ugly back then don't go to war. We need to get Religion out of the process. The Priest scandal has killed us. The way the Catholic church in this country handled it is beyond my comprehension. Religious division is not good for a country. We need to put child molesters behind bars forever. Rapists too. Legalize pot - regulate it like Cigarettes and alcohol. Tax it and wipe out that black market Enforce the gun laws we have. We don't need a huge change if we'd just do whats on the books! SSI needs to be 100% privatized. Give people like me an opt out of the system with the exception of medicare. I'd never get an SS check but I would remain in the medicare portion of the equation. From there, your SS with the employer match would go to investment companies and people who elected this option would have complete ownership. It could be handed down to my kids. We've managed to botch a simple annuity with SS!!! Amazing! Time to remove that from the Governments hands We need to seriously look at changing how we collect taxes. I don't have the answer but we need to be lookin hard!
