"The trouble with my business is that everyone came in at the peak," Mr. Gilder said in a recent interview. "The typical Gilder subscriber lost all his money and that made it very hard for me to market the newsletter."

That article wasn't written by George Guilder and the science referred had nothing to do with him. Frankly, I have to wonder about the intelligence of someone who criticizes something THEY HAVE NOT READ OUT OF FEAR it might contain information contrary to their FAITH and BELIEFS.

If you think assembling a simple radio is in line with making and using the several instruments of a weather station, your ignorance of science is indeed manifest. Passive radio are simple LC circuits tuned with a crystal.

So did your Island local weather station really record highest number of sunshine hours in Britain every year by manipulation? Or was your teacher passing on an al gore style lie???

Your statements as to what George Gilder and Micheal Crichton proffer and offer as views show stupidity of great breath and depth.

Mr Gilder has an in depth understanding of the interrelationships of technology and it growth. But that understanding gives him only the ability to make an educated guess and not predict how the weather of individual businesses will be fair or stormy.

Micheal Crichton's in depth understanding of science gives him the ability to know with certainty than no one knows enough to make an educated guess about future climate. And only those with some severe mental defect will claim some devine ability to predict it.

And this statement of Pearly_Button.
"I am just beginning to notice who the other fools are who believe in the teachings of the crank called George Gilder."

Implies a severe reading comprehension problem and quite average to low IQ.
